Digital Preservation Management Workshops and Tutorial

Global Archivist LLC (MIT Libraries) is pleased to be the host institution for the Digital Preservation Management Workshop and Tutorial. This expanded program is based on the workshop curriculum initially developed and hosted at Cornell University (2003-2006), hosted at ICPSR (2007-2012), and by MIT Libraries since 2012. The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) has supported the DPM workshops through four grants awarded since 2002.

Digital Preservation Management Workshops offer practical guidance on developing effective digital preservation programs to managers of digital content at all kinds of organizations.

Digital Preservation Management: Implementing Short-Term Strategies for Long-Term Solutions, online tutorial developed for the Digital Preservation Management workshop, developed and maintained by Cornell University Library, 2003-2006; extended and maintained by ICPSR, 2007-2012; extended and maintained by MIT 2012-2021 and now maintained by Global Archivist LLC, 2022-on.

DPM Continuting Education Program Impact Assessment (CEPIA) Model:

The CEPIA Model is an outcome of a DPM grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) that completed in 2017. It is a means for framing and measuring the progress and milestones for continuing education programs.
